114 exercises in GymVim train the back, across lats (68), upper back (13), traps (39) and lower back (8). Pick a muscle below to narrow it down, or scroll the whole list.
The back is several muscle groups layered over one another rather than one muscle. The latissimus dorsi is the broad sheet on each side that pulls the arm down and back. The trapezius covers the upper back and the base of the neck and moves the shoulder blade. The rhomboids, between the shoulder blades, draw them together, and the erector spinae run the length of the spine and keep it upright.
Because those muscles pull in different directions, back exercises split along the same lines. Pulldowns and pull-ups bring the arm down from overhead, rows pull it back towards the torso, shrugs lift the shoulder blades, and hinges and back extensions load the muscles along the spine. The muscle pages linked above go into each group.
