Delete your GymVim account
GymVim is the workout tracker for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android, run by the person named in the Impressum.
01 · Delete it in the app
Open GymVim and go to Profile → Profile Settings → Data & Account → Delete account, then confirm. Profile is the picture at the top of the Workouts tab.
Your account is deleted right away and can't be restored. If you signed in with Apple, GymVim's access to your Apple ID is revoked as well.
02 · Delete it without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my GymVim account. We usually reply within two working days, delete the account, and confirm by email.
If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, write from the email address of that Apple ID and say so; we'll match the account with you before deleting anything.
03 · What is deleted
Everything linked to your account:
- Your profile: name, email address, profile photo and the body details you entered.
- Your sign-in connections (email code, Google, Apple).
- Training plans, workouts, sets, personal records and history.
- Custom exercises and anything you uploaded for them, bookmarks and notes.
- Body measurements, weight entries (including imports from Apple Health or Health Connect) and progress photos.
- Goals, achievements, and your membership and progress in groups.
- Push notification tokens for your devices.
On your phone, the app's cache, offline queue and sign-in tokens are cleared when the account is deleted.
04 · What is kept, and for how long
- Backups. Your data comes out of the live systems promptly and disappears from backups as those rotate. Backups can't be edited entry by entry, so data sits there inaccessible until it's overwritten on the normal cycle.
- Consent records and the deletion reason you optionally give are kept as proof of compliance, separately from your account.
- Support emails are kept as long as it takes to sort the issue out, then in line with statutory rules.
- Server and security logs are kept for a short window, for security and debugging.
Nothing is held back for financial reasons, because GymVim has no payments. The details are in §13 of the Privacy Policy.
05 · Delete some data but keep the account
You can delete individual entries, measurements and progress photos in the app without deleting your account. To keep a copy first, use Profile → Profile Settings → Data & Account → Export data.
