How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor facing a secure low band anchor.
  2. Loop the band over the top of the working foot and extend that leg.
  3. Support the heel on the floor and sit far enough back to create light band tension.
  4. Pull the toes toward the shin while keeping the knee still.
  5. Let the foot travel forward slowly against the pull of the band.
  6. Repeat the ankle movement while keeping the heel supported and the band in place.

Common mistakes

  • Letting the band pull the foot forward without control.
  • Lifting the working heel to create extra movement.
  • Bending the knee instead of moving at the ankle.
  • Using band tension that prevents a controlled return.
